About Chromium Alloys ConsortiumThe Chromium Alloys Consortium is an informal structure working under an established legal Agreement. A copy of the Agreement and information on how to join the consortium are available here. Following the closing of the pre-registration period for phase-in substances on 1st December 2008, the Chromium Alloys Consortium, representing Ferrochrome and Ferrosilicochrome, is in the process of finalising its registration strategy. The strategy includes assessing the registration status and the registration requirements, where appropriate, for the substances covered by the Agreement (see substance lists for more details). Opportunities for cost-effective registration are being reviewed, hazard classifications are under assessment, and data for registration dossiers are being compiled. |
