SIEF interactions

The pre-SIEFs have been set up to establish substance sameness of compounds of the alloys and to reach agreement on classification and labelling. The Chromium Alloys Consortium is already engaged in discussions with the SIEFs relating to Chrome metal, Iron and Silicon and is also compiling the relevant compositional, physical, chemical and toxicity data.

In order to keep registration opportunities open at the time of pre-registration, all Members of the Chrome Alloys Consortium have pre-registered Ferrochromium and Ferrosilicochromium alloys under both the special preparation and the multi-constituent route:

  • For the pre-registration of alloys as a special preparation, the following substances have been pre-registered:
