Purchasing Access to the FeCr/FeSiCr CSR

The opportunity to join the Chromium Alloys Consortium remains open.  If you decide not to join the alloys consortium you will need to purchase access to the FeCr/FeSiCr CSR as set out below.

If you are Not:

(i) a member of the Chromium Alloys Consortium;

(ii) a member of the Chromium Metals Consortium; or

(iii) one of four (4) companies listed in Appendix 3 of the Eurofer Stainless/ISSF Data Referral Right Agreement, And
You plan to register FeCr/FeSiCr as a Special Preparation,

you will need to purchase access to the FeCr/ FeSiCr CSR. An explanation of the need for the CSR is found in the Note re. Need for Chromium Alloys CSR

The price for Access exclusive of applicable VAT and bank charges is as follows:

i) For registrants that produce/ import 1000 tonnes per year or more of Iron ("Fe"), Silicon ("Si"), or Chromium ("Cr") as part of the ferrochromium alloy, the lump-sump of € 26,000 for Ordinary members of the International Chromium Development Association ("ICDA") and € 37,050 for non-ICDA members, respectively.

(ii) For registrants that produce/ import between 100 and 1000 tonnes per year of Iron ("Fe"), Silicon ("Si"), or Chromium ("Cr") as part of the ferrochromium alloy, and have a registration date of 30 November 2010 for any of the above listed metals, the lump-sump of € 13,000 for Ordinary members of ICDA and € 18,525 for non-Ordinary ICDA members, respectively.

(iii) For registrants that produce/ import between 10 and 100 tonnes per year of Iron ("Fe"), Silicon ("Si"), or Chromium ("Cr") as part of the ferrochromium alloy, and have a registration date of 30 November 2010 for any of the above listed metals, the lump-sump of € 7,800 for Ordinary members of ICDA and € 11,115 for non-Ordinary ICDA members, respectively.

(iv). For registrants that produce/ import between 1 and 10 tonnes per year of Iron ("Fe"), Silicon ("Si"), or Chromium ("Cr") as part of the ferrochromium alloy, and have a registration date of 30 November 2010 for any of the above listed metals, the lump-sump of € 2,600 for Ordinary members of ICDA and € 3,725 for non-Ordinary ICDA members, respectively.

Access for Affiliate requires the payment of 50% of the above amounts per Affiliate. Affiliates are defined any legal person, which directly or indirectly through one or more intermediaries owns, controls, or is controlled by the registrant, and any legal person, which is directly or indirectly controlled by a legal person that controls directly or indirectly a registrant. An Only Representative will need to purchase access to the CSR for each legal entity that he represents, but the affiliates of his client can also benefit from the reduced price for affiliates.

Steps to Take to Purchase Access to the FeCr/ FeSiCr

  1. Review the FeCr / FeSiCr Ranges document to ensure the composition of your FeCr/FeSiCr falls within the scope of the CSR.
  2. Review the Ferrochrome Use Codes to ensure the FeCr/FeSiCr CSR to ensure your uses are covered.
  3. - The name(s) of the legal entit(ies) that will register in 2010 and the UUID number for each legal entity.

Whether you need access to the FeCr CSR, the FeSiCr CSR, or both.

Whether you or any affiliates are Ordinary Members of ICDA and indicate the name of the Ordinary ICDA member as listed at http://www.icdachromium.com/about-us-our-members.php
- Confirm that the composition of your FeCr/FeSiCr falls within the scope of the FeCr/ FeSiCr Ranges document.
- Confirm that your uses are covered.  If you need additional uses covered, please provide the ECHA use descriptors for those uses and we will consider if we can include them in the CSR.

We require that you sign the Data Sharing Agreement by no later than 13 August 2010.  Invoices will be sent out by 31 August 2010, payment is required by 17 September 2010, and the CSR will be provided by no later than 28 October 2010 (Note, these dates have been extended by 2 weeks from earlier communications in response to SIEF member requests).

You will need to submit the CSR as part of your individual registration for Fe, Si, or Cr, respectively.
